Where have you been?

I know, right? It has been over a month since I talked to you. Grad school is kicking my backside right now. I swear that these professors pile research papers up at the end of the quarter. They have now started to break down the papers so that you are actually writing it throughout the quarter, but it is still difficult when you stopped caring about the subject by week 6. I have to write a paper on sex addiction and divorce. It is only 17 pages, but it is a hard subject when there is very little research done on it. My other assignment is on building a group therapy for military career transitioning. I have to create the program and make the presentation. Having never been in the military, you can imagine the challenge!
On a lighter note, I have been getting back into my volunteering mode. I am now working with Women in Comedy. I am working as event support for the Chicago chapter. Working under the founder of the non-profit, I am learning so much about myself and the comedy world. It has been a liberating experience to help other women find their funny. It is my job to help create networking events for standup and improv ladies. My first event was a success. It was called Up All Nite. There was a large turnout and the ladies killed it on that stage! For more information on Women in Comedy, go to www.womenincomedy.org. Say hi to the founder, Victoria, while you are there. Support your female comedians #wewant50
As part of the group, I have been going to comedy shows and finding ladies on social media. I have met some interesting ladies. I have expanded my comedy repertoire(I have no idea if that is spelled, right). My goal is to reach the younger ladies and get them into these clubs and stages. I want to get the colleges to work with the non-profit to build these ladies' resumes.
I have decided to slow down this blog for a bit. I will no longer post every week. I will not leave you hanging for a long time, but the weekly posts was getting difficult. I will post sometimes a list of music you should be listening to. I will post my thoughts and life lessons. I will return to my favorite things and things that have inspired me. I will return to my letters to my ex(yes, I left some out). I was thinking about writing a letter to my friends.
I have been in a boy-band phase again. I have been listening to 98 Degrees a lot. I am missing their Christmas shows(too far away for me). But don't worry, not all of these are from boy bands!

I want you to laugh, so I have included LaGuardia Cross here. His series, New Father Chronicles, has made me laugh for months. His daughters are so cute and hilarious.
